Michael Hornsby is a British-American translator, journalist, and travel and culture writer. After graduating from SOAS, University of London, with a first in Turkish and Art History / Archaeology, he was hired as Istanbul Bureau Chief and Online Arts Editor for Cornucopia magazine, an award-winning magazine about Turkish history and culture. He has also worked as a publicist, as Associate Director of Flint PR in Istanbul.
Based in Berlin since 2015, Michael was instrumental in the relaunch of Beshara Magazine as an online publication in 2016, and has been covering relations between Turkey and the EU for US-based Turkey news portal, Washington Hattı.
